Message the dash off, I did it with the car completely gutted.... about 2 years ago. If memory serves right the ends of the front harness terminate as soon as they reach the interior, you will have to remove the bottom side panels, and unfortunately the main fuse panel is connected so you will need to remove it completely to access the driver's side end of the front harness. I think it took me about a whole day to swap out the entire chassis harnesses with both Z's completely gutted so I imagine you can get just the front harness done in one day. Just be patient and figure things out, don't panic it can be done- it may be faster for you because you can cut your old harness if you want... I took mine out carefully and saved it, definitely wouldn't hurt to keep around. If you weren't painting the bay I would've suggested that you install the new one as you're removing the old one. good luck!!

*disclaimer*: all that I say may be true or I may be completely wrong and I accept that.... please, it is your duty as another person on the internet to in-politely tell me how wrong I am :)
